Gerhardt Carl "Dutch" Stockdreher, 70, of Monticello died Friday, December 5, 2003 at Carle Hospital in Urbana, Illinois.

He was born on December 31, 1932 in Chicago, to Andrew and Lillie Puitter Stockdreher. He married Dorothea Stockdreher in Chicago. She preceded him in death

He was a retired factory supervisor and operated a pizza business at Nofkee's Corner near Monticello.

He served in the U.S. Navy.

He had been a member of the Moose Lodge and VFW.

Survivors include a son, James R. Stockdreher of Lansing. Ill.; a daughter Patricia Stockdreher of Asheville, N.C.; a brother Ron Stockdreher of San Antonio, Texas; a sister Kay Roth of Canada; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A son, John C. Fanning; brother Fritz Stockdreher, and granddaughter Tanya Stockdreher preceded him in death.

Graveside services will be held at Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery at a later date.
