Arthur H. Staley

Arthur Haul Staley, 85, of Brookston, died Tuesday, March 30, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Lafayette, where he had been a patient since Friday.

He was born Nov. 18, 1913, in Knoxville, Tenn. He was married May 1, 1932, to Bertha Crawford in Albany, Ky. and she died Dec. 23, 1998.

He was retired from farming and had worked on the Waugh farms in Brookston.

Surviving are three sons, Bob at Lafayette; Roy of West Lafayette and Jerry of Kingman; three daughters, Mrs Benny (Mary) Henry of Crawfordsville; Mrs Mike (Betty) Priest of Indianapolis and Mrs Lee (Charlotte) Turner of Brookston; 19 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

An infant son, a son and two brothers are deceased.

Funeral service was Saturday at Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, with the Rev. Harvey Long officiating.

Burial was in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, West Lafayette.
