Jerry L. Sparks

Jerry L. Sparks, 63, of Monticello died Sunday, July 17, 2005 at St. Elizabeth Hospital.

He was born at Idaville on January 11, 1942, to Max and Rosie Hufford Sparks. He married Roxy J. Sparks at Monticello on October 21, 1962. She survives.

He was a 1960 graduate of Idaville High School.

He owned and operated Jerry Sparks Excavating for 33 years and also owned Jerry's Sunoco Station in Reynolds for 15 years.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Other survivors include sons, Kevin L. Sparks of Monticello and Shane M. (Lana) Sparks of Brookston; daughters, Kathy M. Sparks and Candy M. Sparks, both of Monticello; brothers, Clarence Sparks of Monticello, Bob (Mildred) Sparks of Tampa, Fla., Walker (Carolyn) Sparks of Tucson, Ariz., and Don Sparks of Fort Wayne; sister Dolly Brown of Tucson, Ariz., and nine grandchildren.

Infant son, Todd A. Sparks, brother, Dwayne Sparks and sister, Pat Hamacher are deceased.

Funeral services were today at Fisher-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home with burial in Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
