Raymond M. Sigman Jr., 66, Brookston, died Saturday in Home Hospital, Lafayette. He had been ill for 13 years.
He was
born March 14, 1927, to Raymond M. Sigman Sr. and Rowena Lucy Sigman, in
Wolcott.
He was
married June 30, 1950, to Sarah Tatman, in Monticello, and she survives.
He received his high school equivalency diploma in the armed forces and served in the Army from 1948 to 1950.
He lived in Brookston for 40 years.
He retired from Ross Gear in Lafayette in 1980, due to health disability.
He owned and operated the Sigman Mobile Home Park in Brookston, with his wife.
He was a member of the Brookston United Methodist Church, West Lafayette American Legion Post No. 492 and the Lafayette Moose Lodge No. 1529.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs Gary (Marcia) Weston, Brookston and Mrs Daniel (Debbie) Roberts, Clarks Hill; mother, Rowena Binder, Monticello; six brothers and a sister; four grandchildren, Mischelle DeVault, Stephanie Weston, Scott Jennings and Heather Jennings; and six stepgrandchildren. Two brothers and his father are deceased.
The funeral was Tuesday at Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston. Pastor William Overbay officiating.
