Lloyd L. Shoemaker, 92, Chalmers, died Dec. 23, in Murdock Manor, Lafayette.

He was born Nov. 22, 1900, to Chris and Margaret Wright Shoemaker, in Cropsey, Ill. He was married May 31, 1923, to Ruth E. Naugle, in Monticello. and she died June 9, 1990.

After retiring in 1950, from farming in Chalmers area, he moved in 1968 into Chalmers.

He was a member of Monticello Christian Church and was an honorary member of Chalmers Civic Club.

Survivors include four daughters; Mrs Cecil (Florence) Payne, Fort Wayne; Mrs Don (Eileen) Park, Chalmers; Mrs Charles (Betty) Byroad, Monon and Mrs Dennis (Mary Ann) Cornett, Otterbein; three son: Perry and Kenneth, both of Lafayette and Paul Shoemaker, Chalmers; 24 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter. A daughter, brother and two great grandchildren are deceased.

The funeral was Saturday in Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston with the Rev. Loren Shuman officiating.
