Eva. Belle Bear Shine, 66, formerly of Chalmers and Lafayette, died Thursday, Sept. 14, in Tucson, Arizona, at the home of a daughter with whom she resided.

She was born July 28, 1923, in Chalmers, to Clarence and Naomi Belle Carpenter Bear.

She lived in Lafayette from 1956 to 1974 and in Dallas, Texas, from 1974 to 1989, when she moved to Arizona. She was a secretary and a member of Copper Creek Baptist Church in Denton, Texas.

Surviving are two sons, Paul D., Garland, Texas and Carl E., Marshal, Texas; a daughter, Mrs Larry (Norma) Brewster, Tucson; a brother, Clarence Bear Jr., Lafayette; and four grandsons.

Services were conducted Monday at 11 a.m. at Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, with the Rev Loren Shuman officiating.

Burial was in Chalmers Community Cemetery.
