Edna P. Shidler

Edna P. Shidler, 77, R.3, Winamac, died Monday, July 20, at 1:05 a.m. in Pulaski Memorial Hospital in Winamac.

She was born April 10, 1915, to Chris and Irinda Iris Farrer Linback, in Winamac. She was married Sept. 18, 1939, to Woodrow Wilson Shidler, in Monticello, and he died Oct. 28, 1989.

She was a life-long resident of Winamac, and a homemaker.

She was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Church, the VFW Post No.1728 Auxiliary and Eagles Post No.580 Auxiliary, all in Winamac. Survivors include seven daughters: Judy Evans and Rita O'Donnell, both of Winamac, Patsy Dillman, Monon, Nancy Garbison, and Dianna Wildermuth, both of Star City, Janice Garling, Reynolds and Rosie Ervin, Royal Center; four sisters, Alma Ewing, Francesville, Alice Shreves, Union Mills, May Shidler, Winamac, Clara Linback, Indianapolis and Jean Roeschlein, Lawrence; three brothers, Walter Linback, Monon, Harry Linback, Brookston and Melvin Linback, Lafayette; 33 grandchildren; and 35 great grand children. A son, granddaughter, sister and three brothers are deceased.

The funeral was conducted Wednesday, at 10 a.m. in Frain Mortuary, Winamac, with Rev. Michael Kroll officiating.

Burial was in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Winamac.
