Goldia Anna Ryder Shepherd, 92, formerly of Battle Ground, died Monday, Dec. 28, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette, where she had been a patient since Oct. 2nd.
She was
born July 5, 1900, to Korea and Clara M. Harshman Ryder, in Tippecanoe
County. She
was married
March 11, 1920, to Earl W. Shepherd, who died April 15, 1984.
She moved in 1980, to the Tippecanoe Villa and had been living at St. Anthony's in Lafayette, since August 1991.
She was a member of Battle Ground United Methodist Church and the Pleasant Grove Grange.
Survivors include two nieces, Mrs Marjorie Qualls, Brookston and Mrs Beryl Nice, Lafayette; a nephew, Keith Nice, Largo, Florida; four great-nieces and a great-nephew. A sister is deceased.
The funeral was Wednesday at Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, with Rev. Lewis E. Ruman officiating.
Burial was in Battle Ground Cemetery.
