Donald. Lee Seward., 56, of Monon died Monday. January 3, 2000 at his residence.

He was born March 3. 1943 in Monon the son of Golden and Cecila Owens Seward.

A construction worker for many years, he had lived in White County nearly all his life.  He served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years.  He was a graduate of Monon High School.

He was a member of  the Amvets of Monticello and the Veterans of Foreign Wars at Monticello.

He is survived by a son Donnie Lee Seward of Kissimmee, Fl and a daughter Melissa Dickson also of Kissimmee, FL.  Also surviving are two brothers, Bill Seward of Monticello and Tom Seward of Indianapolis and one sister Barb Anker of Lafayette.  Two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

He had five grandchildren.

There was no visitation and a direct cremation was held.  Burial will be in Chapel Cemetery at a later date.

Kellogg Funeral Home in Monon was in charge.
