Robert C. Selby
Robert "Pete" C. Selby, 69, Monon, died Thursday, March 11, at White County Memorial Hospital. He had been ill for five months.
He was born at Monterey, Tennessee, November 3, 1934, to John Oscar and Mattie Edna (Harris) Selby. He was married May 6, 1998, to Jenise M Faucett Selby at Monticello, and she survives.
He was a Private 1st Class in the Army from 1954-55.
He had lived m Monon since 1978, coming from Rensselaer.
He was a member of the United Faith Pentecostal Church, DeMotte.
He was a retired truck driver.
Other survivors include a son, Robert E. Selby, Rensselaer; daughters, Sherry Renee Goad, Rensselaer, Erin Marie Shelby and Jordan Breann Selby, both of Monon; sisters, Anna Ruth Selby, LaPorte and Edith Faye Cooper, DeMotte; brothers, Larry Gene Selby, Monon; James Carl Selby, Pontiac, Miss. and Richard Lee Selby, Fort Worth, Texas. A sister is deceased.
