Virginia Aleen Scott, 82, of Monticello, died Saturday, January 4, 2003, at Twin Lakes Village.

She was born on July 11, 1920, in Boone County, to Charles and Effie Virture Baker.

She was a 1938 graduate of Tech High School in Indianapolis.

Her first marriage was to William Hill, who died in 1994. Her second marriage was to Howard Scott, who died in 1998.

She moved to Lake Shafer in Monon in 1978, and worked for Indiana Beach for several years.

She was a Cubs fan and loved playing cards.

Surviving are a son,, James R. Hill, of Lafayette; daughters, Jean M. (Jack) Snider of Monticello and Joyce E. (John) Wilkinson of Lake Barrington, IL; brother, John H. Baker of Indianapolis; 10 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

The funeral was Tuesday, January 7, 2003 at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, with Rev. James Goodrum officiating.

Burial was in Bedford Cemetery, Monon.
