Inez Irene Royer Scott, 90 of Knightsville, a former Reynolds resident died Wednesday, Nov. 17, at Cloverleaf Health Care in Knightsville.
She was born June 27, 1909, to John M. and Nettie Chipman Royer, in Linden. She was married June 27, 1927, to William Edgar Scott Sr., in Rockville and he died July 31, 1970.
She graduated from Linden High School in 1927.
Her husband was a teacher and coach and taught for a time in Reynolds.
She was a housewife and a member of United Methodist Temple in Terre Haute.
She was a 50year member of the Home Economics Club.
She sang in church choirs and was active in a variety of musical activities throughout her life.
Surviving are three sons, William Edgar Scott Jr, Bloomington, Jerald Lee Scott of Oxford and Charles Jack Scott, Columbia City, a daughter, Phyllis Anne Hughes. Terre Haute; a sister, Evelyn Dunbar, Westminster Village, Indianapolis; 12 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
A son, John Lincoln Scott and three brothers are deceased.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Hahn Funeral Home, Linden, with Rev. Jack Scott officiating.
Burial was in Linden Cemetery.
