Homer C. Scott

Homer C. Scott, 73, of Monticello died Thursday, April 10, 2003, at his residence.

He was born in Cumberland County, Kentucky, on February 27, 1930, to Albert Lee and Bertha McIntyre Scott. He married Genevieve Frazier at Dyer on July 17, 1953. She survives.

He served in the U. S. Army.

He worked as a skilled laborer for Ford Motor Company in Chicago Heights, Ill.

He attended the Buffalo Christian Church.

He was a member of the American Legion, VFW and Eagles Lodge. He played music at the VFW and Eagles in Monticello, Logansport and Lafayette. He enjoyed playing the guitar and racing stock cars.

Other survivors include a daughter, Gail C. Latta, of Monticello, brothers, Malcom Scott of Mesa, Arizona and Willie (Evelyn) Bean of Thayer; three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Two brothers and two sisters are deceased.

Funeral services were Monday at the Fisher-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home in Monticello with Rev. Bruce Hurley officiating.

Burial was in Hughes Cemetery south of Buffalo.
