Homer S. Scott

Word has been received of the death of Homer S. Scott, 80, of Anderson, a former Buffalo.resident, who died August 10, at his residence after an extended illness.

He was born Dec. 12, 1918, to Harvey and Faye Hughes Scott.

He lived most of his yough in Buffalo.

He was a US. Army veteran of World War II. He was employed all his life as a carpenter.

He is survived by his wife, Joan Pearce Scott of Anderson; four children, Richard Scott, Tery Scott and Debra Arms, all of Anderson and Doug Scott of Lafayette; two sisters, Doris Oldfield of Anderson and Iva Jean Halsema of Monticello and five grandchildren. Five brothers and a sister are deceased.

Services were conducted in Anderson.  Burial with military graveside rites were at Anderson Memorial Park.

Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home of Anderson was in charge of arrangements.
