Donald E. Scott, 68, a former Buffalo resident, died Sunday, April 14, 2002 at his residence, following a long battle with cancer.

He was born in Buffalo on September 3, 1933, to Raymond and Helen Scott. He married Ruth L. Staroski in Germany on March 17, 1956.

He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1952 and served 23 years before his discharge in 1975. He was a communications supevisor for the U. S. Air Force.

Other survivors include a daughter, Diana (Michael) Turner of Hot Springs, S.D.; son, Donald E. II (Nancy) Scott of Rapid City; brothers, Orlo Scott of Monticello, Robert Scott and 0. Richard Leis, both of Buffalo, and William Leis of Norway; sisters, Charlotte Rater of Monon and Linda "Sue" Delk of Da1eville; and six grandchildren.

His father Raymond Scott and his mother Helen Leis are deceased

Funeral services were at Kirk Funeral Home, Rapid City, S.D. with Rev. Tim Coats officiating.
