Geneva "Jean'' Ussery Schwartz. 63, formerly of  Brookston, and Buck Creek; died Thursday, May 16, in her home at Tulare, California.

She was born to Ira and Bessie Ussery Long, in West Buro, Mo.  She was married in 1957, to Frank F. Schwartz Jr. who died Jan. 19, 1971.

She was a 1946 graduate from Exeter Union High School in California.

She had been a registered nurse since 1957, and worked at Home Hospital before returning to California in 1980.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Exeter, Calif.

Surviving with the mother are one stepson, Joseph W. Schwartz, Brookston; one foster son, Richard Schwartz, Lafayette; one step daughter, Mrs Juanita Gardiner, Brookston; one foster daughter, Sharon Birge, Mulberry; several nieces and nephews;  and seven grandchildren. Two sisters are deceased.

Graveside services were today at Spring Creek Cemetery northeast of Brookston. Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, was in charge of the service.
