Ernest W. Schwartz, 92, Brookston, died at 3:47 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14, in Home Hospital in Lafayette. He had been in failing health for the past six months.

Born Feb. 7, 1896, in Tippecanoe County, he lived on a farm at R.2, Brookston, from 1904 until moving into town in Oct. 1983. He retired from farming in 1968.

Mr Schwartz raised ponies and was treasurer of the Spring Creek Cemetery Board for many years.

Surviving is a brother, Frank Schwartz of Brookston.

Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. A sister preceded in death.

Service was Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston. The Rev Duncan MacNab officiated. Interment was in IOOF Cemetery, Brookston.
