Loyd [sic] Russell Schofield, 82, of Brookston, died Tuesday, June 10, 2003, at Home Hospital, Lafayette.

He was born in Round Grove Township, White County, on June 13, 1920 to Alfred and Ruth Barcus Schofield. He married Audrey Holmes on February 28, 1941. She survives.

He was a graduate of Round Grove High School.

He was a farmer.

He was a member of Meadow Lake Presbyterian Church.

Other survivors include his children, Dennis (Roseanna) Schofield, of Peru and Donna (Arthur) Ruemler of Otterbein; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A brother, a sister and a grandson are deceased.

Funeral service was Friday at Foster Funeral Home, Wolcott with Pastor Anella McFee officiating.

Burial was in Meadow Lake Cemetery, Wolcott.
