Opal M. Christopher Sanbloom, 91, a former Brookston resident, died Saturday, April 22, 2000, at George Davis Manor.

She was born Jan. 19, 1909, to William and Jennie Brown Christopher, in Brookston.  She was married Feb. 11, 1931, to Ernest O. Sanbloom, near Badger Grove.  He died on April 16, 1993.

She was a homemaker who moved to Brookston from Chalmers in 1983 and moved to the George David Manor in 1997.

She graduated in 1926 from Brookston High School.

She was a member of the Badger Grove Community Baptist Church and Missionary Society.

She was a former member of West Point Home Demonstration Club and a former 4-H leader.

She is survived by sons, Robert and Richard Sanbloom of Brookston; daughter Shirley (David) Kesler, West Lafayette; four grandchildren, Peggy Bryant, Colleen Eastis, Rae Jeanne Sanbloom and Brad Sanbloom and two great grandchildren Todd and Cara Eastis.

She was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers.

Funeral service was Tuesday at Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, with the Rev. Bob Stokes officiating.

Burial was in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, West Lafayette. Memorials may be given to the Badger Grove Community Baptist Church.
