Delbert M. "Sam" Saberniak, 64, R.1, Chalmers, died Tuesday, March 3, at his home.

He was born Aug. 27, 1927, to Michael and Sophia Krause Saberniak, in Crown Point. He was married Oct. 7,1950, to Geraldine L. Erb, in Schereville and she survives.

He moved from Crown Point to Chalmers in 1912.

He retired in 1989, from farming.

He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Reynolds and the Holy Name Society of the church.

Other survivors are a son, Michael, R.1, Chalmers; two daughters, Mrs Mark (Ann) Provo, Chalmers and Susan, at home; a sister, Mrs Gale (Esther) Troutwine, Crown Point and three grandchildren.

The funeral mass was Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Reynolds, with Father Robert Fosselman officiating. Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, was in charge of the arrangements.

Burial was in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery.
