Marcia E. Rush

Marcia E. (Whiteman) Rush, 47, of Brookston died Sunday. March 21, 2004, in St. Elizabeth Medical Center. She had been ill with cancer since last fall.

She was born in Logansport on March 29, 1956, to Gerald and Dorothy Parrett Whiteman. She married Jerry Rush in Gatlinburg, Tenn., on June 15, 1995. He survives.

She was a 1974 graduate of Twin Lakes High School.

She was employed at Hanson Cold Storage in Lafayette. Previously she worked at Monon Trailer and Top Notch Bar in Brookston for eight years.

She enjoyed the outdoors and gardening and was an avid reader.

Other survivors include sons Jerehme [sic] (Vonda) Walker of Colfax and Jeff (Bobbie Jo) Walker of North Judson; a daughter, Alana Logan of Lafayette; brother Doug (Mary) Whiteman of Buffalo; sister, Teresa (Ron) Snowberger of Monticello and her mother Dorothy Whiteman of Monticello.

She really liked spending time with her grandkids, Allie, Michael, Jerehme Jr., Katelynn, Matthew, Tyler and Skyler.

Services were this morning (Wednesday) at the Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home in Brookston with Rev. Dr. Lelan McReynolds officiating.

Burial was at Spring Creek Cemetery, Brookston.
