Bobby Joe Rupe, 71, of Monticello died Wednesday, September 7, 2005, at St. James Hospital, Olympia Field, IL.

He was born at Logansport on July 8, 1934 to Charles Mike and Mary Edith (Hopper) Rupe.

His marriage was to Wilma Spencer at Logansport on February 7, 1957. She survives.

He was active in the Boy Scouts of America for many years and had served as a Scout Master. He also was active in the Order of the Arrow in Cass and White counties.

He was retired as a signalman for Pennsylvania Railroad.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.

Other survivors include sons, Jerry (Kimberly) Rupe, Ypsilanti, Mich., and Dale (Penny) Rupe of Marshall, Mich.; half brother James Dunkle of Logansport; five grandchildren[.]

One son Charles Rupe is deceased.

A private family service was held at Fisher Funeral Home in Logansport with burial in St. John's Cemetery.
