Melva Pearl Honegger Runk, 83, Monon, died Wednesday, April 26, in White County Memorial Hospital, Monticello.
She was born
Sept. 3, 1916, to Julius and Marie Barth Honegger, in Francesville. She
was married
Sept. 5,
1936, to Harry Jay Runk in Francesville and he died Sept. 21, 1972.
She had lived in Monon and Medaryville all her life.
She and her husband owned a grocery store in Monon for 15 years. She also had worked at Annis Finer Foods in Monon, for 21 years.
She is survived by sons, Roger Runk, Valparaiso, and Kirkland Runk, Francesville; daughters, Holly Kay Franscoviak and Jill Houston, Monon; sisters, Lena Ward, Francesville and Esther DeVault and Leone Friday, both of Monon; 15 grandhcildren and nine great grandchildren.
A son, Terry Runk, five sisters, three brothers and a grandchild are deceased.
Funeral service was Saturday at Querry-Ulbricht Funeral Home, Francesville, with the Rev. Don Newman officiating.
Burial was in Whitepost Cemetery, Medaryville.

be given to the Monon Community Church.
