Jackie Lee Picket [sic] Ruiz, 25, of Delphi, died Wednesday, November 23, 2005, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne.

She was born in Monticello on July 7, 1980, the daughter of Jerry L. Pickett and Brenda Hekking.

She had attended Twin lakes High School

She was a restaurant manager at the Sportsman Inn, Monticello.

She enjoyed bowling and collecting porcelain dolls and angels.

She was a loving mother and especial1y enjoyed spending time with her son.

Survivors include fiance Eric Ramsey of Delphi; son Tyrese Ruiz at home; father Jerry (Peggy) Pickett, Delphi; mother Brenda Hekking (companion David Connaway), Delphi; grandfather Louis Hekking, Monticello; step-grandmother, Mildred Amos, Lafayette; brother John Pickett, Delphi; step-brothers, James (Theresa) Amos, Norfolk, Va., Jashua [sic] Conrad, Lafayette, Jeremy Conrad, Tennessee, and Justin Connaway, Delphi; sister Kelly Smith, Delphi and step-sister Amanda Connaway, Delphi.

Funeral Services were Tuesday at Fisher-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home in Monticello with Rev. David Inskeep of Reynolds United Methodist Church officiating.

Burial was at Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Monticello.
