[Pauline Stone Rowe]

Pauline Stone Rowe, 85, of Indianapolis, died Tuesday, July 29, in Indianapolis.

Born November 17, 1917, in Monon, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Gertrude (Pike) Stone. She was a graduate of Purdue, where she was a member of Phi Mu Sorority kind attained her master's degree from Butler University. She was employed as a teacher at Young America and a laboratory technician for Eli Lily & co. she [sic] served as the librarian at Westfield High School for 10 years, retiring in 1986. She was a 50-year member of Northminister Presbyterian Church, had served as president of St Margaret's Guild and was a member of the Meridian Hills Country Club.

Surviving is her husband of over 55 years, James L. Rowe; three sons: James L. Rowe Jr., Robert Rowe and Dr. Richard Rowe; a sister, Dorothy Jean Metzger, a brother, Forrest Stone of Francesville and 8 grandchildren.

A memorial service was held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 4th at Northminister Presbyterian Church. A family burial took place at West Point, Indiana.
