Kay L. Rothenberger

Kay L. Rothenberger, 55, of Reynolds, died Tuesday, November 11, 2003, at Home Hospital in Lafayette.

She was born at Lafayette on November 19, 1947, to John U. and Frances Rose Ferdinand.

She was a 1966 graduate of North White High School. She received her medical technician certification through Home Hospital and Purdue University.

She began her medical career at Home Hospital. She later worked at the Family Practice Center in Lafayette.

She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Reynolds.

She was a member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary and VFW. She did volunteer work for United Way, where she worked for Area IV Agency. She contributed to many community service programs.

She was creative and enjoyed interior and exterior decorating. She enjoyed floral arranging and doing crafts. She also enjoyed spending time on the farm.

Survivors include her father John U. Ferdinand of Reynolds; sons, Craig A. (Janice) Rothenberger of Bartlett, Ill., and Ryan A. (Lisa) Rothenberger of Noblesville; a brother, Lee Wayne (Mary) Ferdinand of Reynolds, sisters, Leah Ann (Bob) Marion of Monon and Rose Ann (Frank) Vaughn of New Whiteland, Ind.

Funeral services were at Fisher-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home on Friday with Pastor Charles Blakey officiating.

Burial was in Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
