Dean A. Roth

Dean A. Roth, 51, Monticello, died Monday, Jan. 17, at White County Memorial Hospital, Monticello.

He was born June 2, 1948, to Everett and Dorothy Mitchell Roth in White County He was married Nov. 16, 1991, to Janie Marie Winner, in Monticello and she survives.

He lives [sic] in White County all his life and was a 1966 graduate of Monticello High School. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard from 1966 to 1972. He was a member of the Monticello Police Department from 1972-1980.

He also was an independent Real Estate Broker.

He was a member of the Monticello Christian Church, Monticello AmVet, Fraternal Order of Police Lodge, Monticello Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis and the Shriners Murat Temple, Indianapolis.

He was a member of the Carpenters Local in Lafayette, White Co. Shrine Club and a union carpenter until 1998.

He was the construction manager for the new White Co. Sheriff's Department and the superintendent of construction of Twin Lakes Schools after the 1974 tornado.

He is survived by his wife; stepdaughter, Susan Clark, Monticello; step-sons, Brad Crisp and Brian and Donna Crisp, Monticello, nephews, Phillip Baker, Royal Center and Christopher Baker, Logansport; great-niece, Haley Baker, Royal Center; four step-granddaughters; five step-grandsons; and a step-great granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Baker and a brother, Ronnie Roth.

Funeral service will be Thursday, at Monticello Christian Church with the Rev. Bill Riggs officiating. Visitation will Wednesday, 4 to 8 p.m. at Miller-Roscka Funeral Home with Masonic service at 7 p.m. and one hour prior to services at the church.

Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
