JOHN E. ROSS

John E. Ross, 71, of 8730 N. County Road 100 W., West Lafayette, was found dead Thursday, Oct. 20, in the home of Lewis H. McKay at 9333 N. County Road 100 W., West Lafayette.

He was born May 30, 1917 in Tippecanoe County and was raised in the Ash Grove area, where he lived most of his life.

Mr Ross was employed for several years at the former Farm Bureau Co-Op poultry farm in Lafayette, retiring in 1984.

An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of American Legion Post 11; and 40 and 8, Lafayette Voiture 364.

He was also a member of the former Liberty Chapel Church at Ash Grove and Eagles Lodge 347.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs Donola Brown, Brookston; and one brother Kenneth M. Ross, Lafayette. -

A brother, Francis W. Ross preceded in death.

Service was Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, with the Rev Duncan MacNab officiating. There were military graveside rites at Liberty Chapel Cemetery, Ash Grove.
