Rupert P. "Rosey" Rosenbaum

Rupert P. "Rosey" Rosenbaum 71, of Parker Ave., South Bend, died Saturday. March 13, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend

He was born Sept 10, 1927, to Ruth (Prow) and William Rosenbaum, in Campelsburg, Ind. Both preceded him in death. He was married Dec. 28, 1952, to Helen Mason, in Bremen, and she preceded him in death, Oct. 7, 1966

Survivors are two daughters, Sandra Carmichael and her husband, Scott of Winona Lake, Ind.; Nancy Bodden and her husband. John of Grand Cayman Island, five grandchildren, Shawn and Ryan Carmichael and Aubrey, Amanda and Kanza Rose Bodden and by a sister, Jeannine Terry and her husband Glen of Georgetown, Texas.

He was prccedcd in death by a granddaughter, Sarah Rose Carmichael.

Mr Rosenbaum was a retired sales manager for Fruehauf Trucking in South Bend.  He was a member of Community Congregational Church, South Bend.  He was a member and past master of Council Oak Lodge #745 F&AM having received his award of gold for 50 years of membership. He was a 50 year member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of South Bend.  He was a member of the Orak Shrine of Michigan City, Ind. and a member of the Past Masters Association of the Orak Shrine and was a member of the Luxedo Patrol for Shriners van stationed in South Bend.  He was a member of the South Bend Shrine Club and the Michigan City Court #43 Royal Order of Jesters.  He was a veteran of WW II Occupation Forces stationed in Japan and was a member of the American Legion in Monon, and the V.F.W. Post #624 in Roseland, Indiana.

Services were today, Wednesday, Mary 17 in the Community Congregational Church, South Bend, with Rev. David Carlson conducting the services.

Entombment will be in the All Faiths Mausoleum at Riverview Cemetery.

The Welsheimer Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
