Mary Dona Childers Rogers, 73, Lafayette, died September 14 at Home Hospital, Lafayette. She had been living at Heritage Healthcare, West Lafayette, since February.

She was born December 22, 1918, in Grayson County, Kentucky, to Oscar and Lizzie Alvey Childers.

Survivors include two sons, Monroe H. Kemple of Rte. 5, Monticello, and David E. Kemple of  Paoli; two sisters, Corine Miller of Litchfield, Ky., and Juanita Cox of Mumpfordsville, Ky.; three brothers, Martin Childers of Litchfield, KY., Rex Childers of Park City, Ky., and Benny Childers of Bee Springs, Ky.; six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Two brothers are deceased.

The funeral was Thursday, September 17 at Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, with Bill Romans officiating. Burial was in IOOF Cemetery, Brookston.
