Kenneth S. Rogers

Kenneth S. Rogers, 63, of 1401 Kensington Dr., Lafayette, Ind. died unexpectedly Thursday, Feb. 21, at 11:30 a.m. He was born October 16, 1938 in Lafayette, and had been a lifelong resident of the area, having also lived in Monon, Indiana.

He graduated in 1957 from Monon High School. He was married April 20, 1963, to Edith Ann Eldridge, in Lafayette and she survives. He served in the United States Marine Corp. He was a machinist with Fairfield Manufacturing for 32 years before retiring in December 2000.

He attended Dayton United Methodist Church. He enjoyed playing euchre at Burger King on Teal Road, likes [sic] old and new automobiles and enjoyed his dog Chelsea Lucy.

Surviving with his wife are a son, Jeffery S. (Rhonda) Rogers, Lafayette; a daughter, Tracy (John) Carson, Dayton, IN and 2 brothers, Richard (Carolyn) Rogers, Brookston and John (Leona) Rogers, Monon, Ind.

Also surviving are eight grandchildren; Lauren and Megan Fleming; Matthew, Adriane and Drew Carson, Polly and Andi Immel and Becky Stewart and great grandchild, Sammy Stewart.

Service was held in the Hippensteel Funeral Home, Lafayette, at 10 a.m. Tuesday with Pastor John Walls officiating.

Burial was in the Rest Haven Memorial Park.
