Golda Scott Rogers, 95, formerly of Brookston died Saturday, Jan. 16, in Indiana Veterans Home at West Lafayette where she had resided since August 1985.

She was born June 19, 1892, in White County to Ed and Tina Ford Darnell Scott. She was married Aug. 1,1917 to Vida Clay Rogers in Monticello.  He. died Dec. 24, 1975. The couple owned and operated the former Rogers Clothing Store in Brookston for 42 years.

Sbe was a member of, the Brookston United Methodist Church and the Wea Lea Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution at Monticello.

Surviving is one sister, Mrs Vida Tillinan of West Palm Beach, Florida.

Three brothers and one sister are deceased.

 A D.A.R. memorial service was held during calling hours Monday evening at the Hartzler Funeral Home in Brookston. Services were at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19.

Burial was in the Brookston IOOF Cemetery.
