Thomas E. "Tom" Rodehan

Thomas E. "Tom" Rodehan. 64, 5271 Norway Rd., Monticello, died Monday, Oct. 19, at 9:50 p.m. in St. Elizabeth Healthcare Ctr., Delphi, N. He had been in failing health the last several months.

He was born April 10, 1934 in Earl Park, IN to George and Helen German Rodehan. He married Barbara Arnold on October 6, 1957 at the Sitka Baptist Church in rural White County. She survives.

He had been the Monon Township Trustee in Monon for 8 years, resigning form his office about 3 weeks ago. Tom had been a barber in the Monticello community for 31 years and in the Monon community for 12 years.

He and his wife were members of the Pike Creek Church of the Brethren. He was also a member of the Chamber of Commerce and the Lions club both of Monon, IN. Tom had also served in the Indiana National Guard for 8 years. He and his wife recently moved to Monticello from Monon.

Surviving with his wife are a daughter, Mrs Duane (DeLea) Hendress, Reynolds; 2 sons, Douglas of Monon and Chris of Remington; a brother, Ed Rodehan of Monticello; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.

One sister and both parents are deceased.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 23, at 11:00 a.m, at Miller-Roscka Funeral Home, Inc., Monticello. Rev. William C. Kehlhofer will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Miller-Roscka Funeral Home, Inc., 6368 E. U.S. 24, Monticello.

Burial will be Friday in the Monon Chapel Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Monon Civic Center.
