Edwin W. "Ed" Rodehan, 75, of Monticello died Thursday, October 28, 2004 at White County Memorial Hospital following a two year battle with cancer.
He was born at Earl Park on July 3, 1929, to George Rodehan and Helen (German) Rodehan Criswell. He married Patricia "Pat" Hunt at Silka Baptist Church by [sic] Rev. Graham on October 21, 1950. He and his wife had just celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary. She survives.
He was a 1949 graduate of Buffalo High School.
He had served in the Army National Guard.
He worked for NIPSCO, retiring in 1990, after 30 years of service.
He was first a heavy equipment operator and later a trouble-shooter. After his retirement from NIPSCO, he worked part-time for Monticello Farm Service.
He attended Bell Center Church.
He was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows 107, where he was a Trustee. He was also an I.O.O.F. District Grand Deputy.
He was a member of American Legion Post 8l.
He had bowled on the Thursday Night Men's League. He loved playing euchre. He loved animals and spending time on his farm with his livestock and John Deere tractor. He was an avid Purdue Basketball fan.
Other survivors include daughters Connie (Ed) Huyer of Kokomo and Bonnie (Steve) Parrish and Jannie Howe both of Monticello; half brothers Robert Bowman of Fowler and Edwin Bowman of Cedar Lake; a half sister Wanda O'Hare of Fort Wayne; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A brother Thomas Rodehan, half brothers Lawrence Edward Bowman and Samuel Bowman; stepbrothers, William Criswell and Erwin Criswell and a stepsister, Wanda Mansfield, are deceased.
Funeral services were Saturday at Fisher-Voorbis-Draper Funeral Home with Rev. Dave Daniels officiating.
Burial was at Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
