Lorna Marie Hintzman Robey, 81 of Monticello, a former Reynolds resident, died Monday, Jan. 13, 2003, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Lafayette. She had been in failing health for two years and was a resident of Monticello Assisted Living and Healthcare.
She was born on June 28, 1921, in Reynolds, to Albert and Ester Bardoner Hintzman. She married Paul R. Robey on February 22, 1948, at St. James Lutheran Church, Reynolds. He died on Jan. 2, 1992.
She was a 1940 graduate of Chalmers High School.
She was a retired cook who was employed at several White County restaurants.
She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Reynolds, where she was active with the Lutheran Missionary League, St. James Ladies Aid and the Quilting Circle.
Surviving are daughters, Myrtle (Jim) Collins, of Brookston and Paula (Mike) Brattin of Weston, Fla.; sons, Joe (Maria) Robey of Shorewood, Ill., and Albert (Janet) Roby [sic] of Bedford, Va.; brother, Harold (Neoma) Hintzman of Monticello; sisters, Norma Miller and Deloris Snowberger, both of Chalmers, and Yelma (Stephen) Freed of Plymouth; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Funeral services were at St. James Lutheran Church with Rev. Charles Blakey officiating.
Hartzler Funeral Home in Brookston was in charge.
Burial was at St James Lutheran Cemetery, Reynolds.
