Millard H. "Mick" Robertson, 77, Brookston, died Wednesday, Sept. 16, at Murdock Manor, Lafayette, where he had been a patient since Dec. 31, 1990. He had been in failing health for the last three years.
He was born July 18, 1915, to Charles and Jennie Haggard Robertson, in White County.
He worked for 22 years for Prairie Telephone Co. in Brookston, before retiring in 1972. For 19 years he was a Brookston volunteer fireman.
He served as an election sheriff for the Republican party in Prairie Township Precinct No.1 for many years.
Survivors include Frances Schwartz, with whom he lived; a son, Kenneth, Rt.1, Battle Ground; a stepson, Joseph Schwartz, Brookston, a stepdaughter, Mrs Daniel (Juanita) Gardiner, Brookston; a twin brother, Willard "Mike" of Lafayette; and two grandchildren. Four brothers and five sisters are deceased.
The funeral was Friday in Hart zler Funeral Home, Brookston, the Rev. Loren Shuman officiating.
Burial was in Spring Creek Cemetery, northeast of Brookston.
