James H. Risk, 60, of Lafayette died Monday, August 15, 2005 in Home HospitaL
He was born in Lafayette on September 12, 1944, and was a lifelong resident. He married Kathleen M. Marion on December 9, 1995 in Chicago. She survives.
He was a 1962 graduate of Southwestern High School and attended Purdue University. He was employed at Alcoa as a Pack-Ship Operator for 40 years.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in West Lafayette.
He enjoyed genealogy, jogging, family reunions and reading. He was an avid sports fan.
Surviving with his wife are three sons; J. Alan Risk of Houston, Texas and Stephen W. and Andrew S. Risk, both at home and a sister, Opel Jones of Lafayette.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ruby Blanche Higley Risk, Sr., a sister, Mary Baumgardt; and an infant brother.
Funeral services were Saturday, August 20, 2005 at. the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in West Lafayette, with Bishop Christian Reiner officiating.
Interment was in Rest Haven Cemetery. Hippensteel Funeral Home was in charge.
