Robert V. "Bob" Richey, 52, Buffalo, died Thursday, March 22, 2001, in Cape Coral, Florida.

He was born in Lafayette on October 2, 1948, to William Verne and Mable L. Coonfield Richey.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and served in Vietnam.

He had lived in the Buffalo community all his life and owned and operated Buffalo Park Discount in Buffalo for the 1ast 30 years.

He was affiliated with the Zion Bethel Church.

He was a member of VFW Post 2231 and AMVETS Post 91, both of Monticello.

He is survived by his mother, Mable L. Richey, of Buffalo; a sister, Nancy (Joe) Pala of Buffalo, brother Mike (Jackie) Richey of Mesa, Ariz.; sons Justin Richey of Cape Coral, Fla., and Douglas Richey of Colorado Springs, Colo.

Funeral services were Monday at Miller-Roscka Funeral Home with Re. Jeff Messer officiating.

Burial was in Buffalo Cemetery.
