George V. Richey Sr., 57, 1208 Edgewood Drive, Lafayette, died Monday, Nov. 4, in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette, where he had been admitted on Monday morning.
He was
born Sept. 24, 1934, to George Bernard and Rena Mae Painter Richey, in
Grandview. He
was married
April 6, 1985, to Pat Fisher Foulkes, in Las Vegas,
Nevada.
She survives.
He lived in the Brookston and Lafayette areas since 1958.
He had worked for 28 years at Jessup Paper Box in Brookston. He was plant manager.
He was a member of Libanus Masonic Lodge No. 154, Monticello, and was a past master. He had just received his 25-year pin. He was a member of Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, Delphi American Legion and Lafayette Moose.
Other survivors are a son, George Jr., Brookston; two daughters, Mrs Kevin (Vickie) Shomaker, Chalmers and Rhonda Martin, Brookston, his mother of Rockport; a stepson, Michael Foulkes, California; a step daughter, Mrs Michelle Klinker, Lafayette; seven brothers, Jim, Chalmers; Frank and Wayne, both of Grandview; Sam, Rockport; Bill, Brookston; Ray, Carthage, Tenn. and Kenny, Safety Harbor, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs Barbara Stonebraker, Westville; Mrs Margaret Franklin, Carthage, Tenn. and Mrs Bernadine Renehan, Chesterton; and nine grandchildren.
The funeral
will be conducted Friday at 10:30 a.m. in Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston,
with
Rev Loren
Shuman officiating. Friends may call tonight from 5-9 p.m. with a masonic
memorial service at 6 p.m.
Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery, Lafayette.
