Myron Reynolds
Myron Reynolds, 83, of Monticello and formerly of Kentland, died Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at St Elizabeth Medical Center in Lafayette.
He was born April 21, 1921 at Marion to Charles and Henrietta Rosendahl Reynolds. He married Nelda M. Turner on December 24, 1946 in Goodland. She died April 19, 1994.
He was a 1939 graduate of A.J. Kent High School in Kentland and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving from 1942-1945 in North Africa, Italy, and Austria. While in the Army he obtained the rank of T3 and title of Administrative NCO.
He was a 50 year member of the American Legion Post 23 of Kentland.
He worked as the parts manager for the Chevrolet dealership in Kentland for many years. After moving to Monticello in 1979, he worked part-time at Hubbard GMC dealership and wintered in Florida.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Monticello. He was enthusiastic about life and especially loved the Saturday night Bib [sic] Band dances in Monticello and Florida. He enjoyed Big Band music, an afternoon at the airport, harness racing and building models.
Survivors include sons, Mike Reynolds of Indianapolis and Mark (Rebecca) Reynolds of Monticello; daughter Marilyn (William) Todd of Monon; sister Erma Jean Ford of Bradenton, Florida; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services were Saturday at McMullan-Stitz Funeral Home in Kentland with Rev. Wes Brookshsire [sic] officiating.
Burial was in Fairlawn Cemetery, Kentland.
