Joseph D. Redmon

Joseph D. Redmon, 63, of Monon died Friday, October 3, 2003, at White County Memorial Hospital.

He was born, March 18, 1940 in Valparaiso, Indiana, the son of Bernard E. and Alice Ketchell Redmon. He married Patricia D. Ludington on March 7, 1972 in Valparaiso, IN. She survives.

He had retired as owner & operator of Gibbs Food and Spirits in Monon after 18 years and had worked 27 years at Indiana General in Valparaiso.

He had lived in Monon for 18 years coming from Valparaiso.

He was a member of Monon Eagles Lodge #2788.

Other survivors include two sons, Russell E. Redmon and Steven A. Redmon, both of Bridgman, MI; four brothers, Bernard "Pete" (Judy) Redmon of Valparaiso, Mike (Georgia) Redmon of Hudson, Ohio, Stanley (Gloria) Redmon of Westville, IN, Tom (Joyce) Redmon of Valparaiso; four sisters, Barbara (Kenny) Jones Martin of Valparaiso, Judy (Joe) Pancek of Burn Grove, IN, Kathy (Jim) Mehnehmzow, of Prague, Minn., and Mary (Ronnie) Corneill of Valparaiso. One sister is deceased.

Funeral services were at Kellogg Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 7, 2003 with Pastor Mathew Pickutt officiating.

Burial was in Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso.
