Aylo Heike (Matteson) de Quinteros, 38, formally [sic] of Brookston, died Aug. 31, of stroke related complications in the Methodist Mission Hospital in La Paz, Bolivia, South America, where she had been a patient.
Born Aug. 14, 1954, in Lafayette, Ind., she was a graduate of Frontier High School in Brookston in 1972. She attended Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon and Dickenson Business College in San Antonio, Texas, where she received an Associate Degree.
She was a Bilingual Executive Secretary for Compania Minera Del Sur in La Paz and also a private secretary for two British engineers.
She married Victor Xavier de Quinteros, Nov. 24, 1973, in La Paz, Bolivia.
Surviving are her husband, 2 sons, Christopher and Craig, and 2 daughters, Danika and Livia, her mother, Mrs Aylo M. Matteson, and her father, Dr. Richard E. Matteson, DVM, both of Brookston, Also 4 sisters, Mrs James (Gretchen) Brown, Annapolis, Maryland; Mrs Charles (Inga) Spencer, Port Angeles, Washington; Mrs Richard (Kirstan) Bliss, Boise, Idaho; Mrs Don (Elga) Merritt, Portland, Oregon, and a brother, Craig E. Matteson, Naperville, Ill.
Funeral services were held in La Paz, Sept. 1, and burial was in The Garden Cemetery in La Paz.
