Dorthey Belle Overman Putt , died Saturday, June 21, at 8 a.m. in Heritage Healthcare in West Lafayette, where she had been a resident since 1994.

She was born Feb. 12, 1917, to Charles and Olepha (Gladys) Hague Overman, in Monticello. She was married May 1, 1937, to Loyd H. Putt, in Monticello, and he died Jan. 31, 1985.

She graduated in 1935 from Roosevelt High School, Monticello.

She lived in Monticello from 1989-94, having moved here from Brookston.

She was retired from RCA. in Monticello.

She was a member of Brookston Federated Church.

She was a former member and officer of Harmony Dance Club.

Survivors include a son, Bob Putt, Brookston; three daughters, Mrs Jack (Loretta) Stine, Chalmers; Mrs Roger (Gladys) VanVoorst, Monticello and Mrs Bob (Barbara) Kirts, Brookston; a brother, Everette Overman, Lafayette; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A brother is deceased.

Funeral services were Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, with the Rev. Gerald Stevens officiating.

Burial was in IOOF Cemetery. Brookston.

Memorials may be given to Brookston Federated Church.
