Eleanor F. Carter Post, 84, formerly of Brookston, died Saturday, Sept. 30 at Heritage Healthcare, West Lafayette.

She was born in Clinton County on April 18, 1911 to Wilmer Glen and Bertha Agnes Hill Carter. She married Roy N. Post on June 25, 1935 in Lafayette. He died November 5, 1980.

She moved to Brookston from Tippecanoe County in 1962 and lived there until moving to Heritage Healthcare Center in December 1990.

She and her husband farmed in Tippecanoe County until moving to Brookston.

Surviving are three sons, Robert Post of Brookston, and Jack Post and William Carter both of Battle Creek, MI; two sisters, Kathleen Richards of Tipton and Freda Beighlor of Kalamazoo, MI; 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

One sister is deceased.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 3, at Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, the Rev. Lelan McReynolds officiated.
