Ronald Dale Perkins

Ronald Dale Perkins, 41 of West Lafayette died Saturday, March 6, 1999 in St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center. He had been ill six months and had been hospitalized since December 29th.

He was born December 29, 1957 in Lafayette the son of Ralph and Marjorie Hart Jenkins.

He had attended Brookston Schools and was a welder at Wabash National Corporation for the past 6 years. He had served in the U.S. Marine Corp. for 17 years, serving as an Infantry Unit Leader during the Gulf War Desert Storm. He had served as a Marine recruiter and was in the National Guard for 2 years.

He is survived by his wife Sandra E. (Smith) Perkins and a son Dale Perkins at home.

Four brothers also survive.  Roger and Robert Perkins both of Lafayette and Dennis and Thomas Perkins both of West Lafayette.  He also had several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters Janet and Joyce.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Hartzler Funeral Home in Brookston with Pastor Lloyd Veldhuizen officiating.  Burial will be at IOOF Cemetery in Brookston with a Marine Detachment from Indianapolis conducting military rites.
