Bertha S. Percell, 96, formerly of R.2, Brookston, died Tuesday at 6:45 am. in St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center, Delphi. She had been a patient since April 1988.

She was born, May 7, 1893, to John and Emma Maggart Simmermon, in Illinois. She was married Dec. 1, 1913, to Pleasant A. "Pap" Percell, who died Oct. 9, 1985.

She was a homemaker who. lived in the Brookston-Delphi area for 40 years. She was a member of the United Brethren Church at Shelbyville and attended the Delphi Pentecostal Church. She was a member of the Carroll County Farm Bureau, also.

Survivors include son, Kenneth, Delphi; a grandson; six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandsons.

A graveside. service was conducted today at 11 a.m. at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown.

The Horn Funeral Home in Delphi. was in charge.
