Edward Lee Patterson, 73, of West Lafayette and formerly of Chalmers died Friday, April 12 at Indiana Veterans Home in West Lafayette.
He was born at Lafayette on November 5, 1928, to Richard and Gertha Hargis Patterson.
He graduated from Jefferson High School in Lafayette.
On December 31, 1955, he married Elizabeth May Evans in Lafayette. She died April 3, 1994.
He was a former owner of Patterson Farmhouse Restaurant in Brookston from 1989 until 1994.
He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1948 until 1955 with the Test Squadron 6570 Ordinance as an airplane mechanic, Staff/Sgt.
He was a member of the Country Lane Baptist Church.
Other survivors include daughters Valerie (Steve) Fessler of Sedona, Arizona; Lisa (Randy) Skidmore of Lafayette; Shawna (Jason) Meyers of West Lafayette; a son, Randy (Carla) Patterson of Mesa, Arizona; brother, Clifford Patterson of Lafayette; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
His brother John Patterson preceded him in death.
Funeral services were today at Hartzler Funeral Home with Randy Skidmore officiating.
Burial will be at IOOF Cemetery in Brookston. Memorials ma made to the Indiana Veterans Home.
