WILSON L. PARKS

Wilson Lynn Parks, 79, 206 Earl St., Chalmers, died Friday, Nov. 3, at 12:05 p.m. in St Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette, where he had been a patient since Sept. 15.

He was born March 29, 1910, to Othello C. and Mary S. Wilson Parks, in Scottsburg.  He was married July 1, 1955, to Orpha Hicks Flynn, in Chalmers. She died Dec. 11, 1982.

He was graduated from Chalmers High School and attended Lafayette Business College.

He was a retired farmer and lived most of his life in Chalmers. He was a member of the Chalmers Community Church.

Surviving are one stepson, Max S. Flynn, Lafayette; two step daughters, Mrs Luella A. Park, Lafayette and Mrs Paul (Dana Lee) Bunnell, R.5, Monticello; two brothers, Floyd M., Tucson, Ariz.; and Merle M., Chalmers; two sisters, Lula G Parks and Carmen B. Parks, both of Chalmers; 11 stepgrandchildren and 11 step great-grandchildren.

Two brothers and two sisters are deceased.

The funeral was Monday at 11 a.m. in Chalmers Community Church with the Rev Loren Schuman officiating. Hartzler Funeral Home in Brookston was in charge of services.

Burial was in Chalmers Community Cemetery.
