Mary Kate Pardue

Mary Kate Pardue, 88, a resident of Monticello Healthcare Center and formerly of Monon, died Sunday, Nov. 6, at 9:14 a.m. in White Co. Memorial Hospital.

She was born Feb. 20, 1906, to Thomas P. and Candice Peacie Whittle Rountree, in Rocky Hill,
Kentucky. She was married Aug. 2, 1922 to Ottis O. Pardue, in Kentucky and he died Aug. 28, 1964.

She lived most of her life, in Monon, and was a homemaker. She had been in the Monticello Healthcare Center for four years.

She was a member of the Monon First Baptist Church.

Surviving are three sons; Richard P. of Union Mills, Leroy P., Reynolds and Marvin P., Shreeveport, La.; three daughters; Leona Rogers, Monon; Mary Pauline Sinks, Kentland and Bernice P. Meiser, Brookston; a brother, Roy Rountree, Newport Richey, Florida; 19 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.

The funeral was this morning at 11 a.m. in the Kellogg funeral Home, Monon, with Rev. John Hall officiating.

Burial was in Bedford Cemetery, Monon.
