Jerry Alan Pals, 44, of Monon died Thursday, June 19, 2003.
He was born in Harvey, Ill., on September 4, 1958, to Marvin E. and Myrna Tiltges Pals. He married Christine Shide in Rensselaer on October 28, 1988. She survives.
He attended Thornton High School.
He served as a UPS supervisor for 12 years, then was a self-employed truck driver for 5 years.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter.
Other survivors include his father, Marvin E. (Ruth) Pals of DeMotte, mother Myrna (Bill) Hall, of Las Vegas, Nev., daughters Abigail and Katlyn Pals, of Monon; brothers, Steve (Julie) Pals of South Holland, Ill., and Kenny (Dawn) Pals; sisters, Marla (Mike) Gregory of Monticello and Lori (Kevin) Strayn, of Las Vegas, Nev., step-brothers, Wade (Amy) Zeilenga of Allendale, Mich., and Tim Zeilenga; and a step-sister, Tammy (Stan) Kalwitter, of Joliet, Ill.
Funeral services were Monday at Jackson Funeral Chapel of Rensselaer with Rev. Leonard Kostka officiating.
Interment was at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
